This silver pendant with two tiny paintings on each side, under crystal semi spheres, is shrouded in mystery. We are not certain about its dating, but think it may be a Renaissance piece. At the very least it dates back to the early 18th century, between 1720-1750. We know it's is a reliquary, there is are tiny pieces of cloth hidden on both side. As for the scenery, well, that is truely beautiful. On one side there is a landscape, with trees en mountains and the sea in the background. At the forefront it says 'S.S. Treuerentium'.

On the other side, two angels are holding a small altar that holds small pieces of fabric or something else, it is difficult to distinguish. It says 'S. Ignatii' and underneath it says 'Xa..ery' or something approaching it. The angels are draped in vibrant blue and pink fabrics. At the back a temple is visible, with pillars on both side. Above it floats a portrait of a monk, held by two more angels.

If any of our readers can tell us more about what this refers to, we would love to know.
