This platinum and gold Belle Epoque 'Toi en Moi', or crossover, ring was designed to be gifted as a love token. It could be a gift by a man in love, or a ring given by someone with aspirations.
The Toi et Moi ring dates back to 1796 to be exact. It was invented by none other than Napoleon Bonaparte, to give to his wife Josephine de Beauharnais. Through his design, a trend was started.
Since then, many a Toi et Moi have graced the hands of the famous, or anyone else. In 1953 even John Kennedy followed suit, by offering a Toi et Moi as an engagement ring to Jacky Kennedy.
To this day, couples will gift or receive a 'Toi et Moi' ring. This particular ring is beset with 6 small rose-cut diamonds on the shoulders, and a larger old-cut one at the center, next to a natural pearl. The gems are set in platinum and the mounting of the ring is gold.

The ring is numbered 7406 on the inside, and is not hallmarked. The rose-cut diamonds, three on each side, graduate from small to big, up to the central old-cut diamond that measures approx. 0.1ct. The pearl measures approx. 4mm. The ring size is 16mm 50 French, US 6. It weighs approx 2.9 grams.
