Spanish 18th century gold and diamond earings.

For the longest time, up to the early twentieth century, the Spanish jewellery makers made earrings and rings in a style just like this one. With beautiful smooth round backs and flowers with petal like pendants, decorated with small slivers of diamonds at the front.

It makes them difficult to date, in fact. Then what gives away these are older versions? It is the way you put them in your ear, from back to front, that can tell you something about their age. This pair is in pristene condition.

The small ring at the back by the way, makes sure they hang perfectly in your ear, no dangling forward for these guys.
